FFA member’s parents are encouraged to participate in the Boyd Area Buyers Association. The primary purpose of BABA is to raise funds to purchase FFA, FCCLA, and 4-H members projects at the Wise County Youth Fair sale. BABA also provides support for each organization’s events and helps with financial responsibilities. BABA also supports the Jimmy Ware Scholarship Fund.

In order to qualify for representation on the pledge form, you must have worked the designated BABA fundraisers as outlined within the current school year. The Wise County Youth Fair Concession stand is not a BABA fundraiser.

The BABA hamburgers are a familiar sight at Boyd Yellowjacket home football games. BABA utilizes the proceeds from the concession stand (visitors concession stand), as their primary fundraiser for the year. Just look for the smoking grill! Volunteers are always appreciated. If you are interested in helping the youth of Boyd, talk to any of the BABA officers, or the ag science teachers.

BABA holds regular monthly meetings August through May.
